Course Description
The huge jump from analogue to digital photography has meant that people keep massive volumes of digital photos. Whereas previously photos would just have been put in an album, you now have much more choice. Photos can be published on the internet, displayed on a PC or a telephone, printed on a T-shirt, duvet cover an so on.

In short there exist an unbelievable volume of photos with almost as many possibilities for them all. To manage, amend, and publish such a large quantity of photos you can use useful photograph manipulation programs. One of the best is Photoshop Elements. It is ideally suited for users that are already familiar with Windows and who want to manipulate their images.

During the course you will become familiar with this program and all necessary steps in its process - from importing and searching for photos, to printing in natural colours and uploading them to the internet. You will learn some advanced manual techniques as well as some powerful ‘quick fixes’. This allows you to process a large number of photos (automatically) very quickly.

By the end of our course you will be able to manage and manipulate your digital photos and you will have a clear picture of what is possible within the realms of digital photo-manipulation.

Some experience of PCs or MAC

This course is given in English and the course books may be taken away. During the course you will work on PCs, but the training is also valid and appropriate for MAC users.

This training course is given as a tutorial in a Web-design class. This means that students will work on their own course and at their own pace under the careful and diligent guidance of a tutor, rather than using a classical lesson with the teacher presenting to everyone at the same time. Only MS Office subjects are dealt with during the Office tutorial class. The tutor will help explain the theory and show you how to work through the course. He or she will be on hand to help you with any problems, give you practical tips and answer your questions. This class-based tutorial system has been tried and tested by us for many years and proves to be a satisfying and rewarding teaching method.

This system has many advantages. Not only does it allow you to learn at your own pace but it also gives you the opportunity to bring with you practical applications from your own workplace. It is better if you can send these to Learnit before the course by email. Otherwise you can bring it with you on a USB or cd-rom. The most recent version is always used for our courses, but older versions can be used on request.
