Course Description - Creating Dynamic Web-pages
ASP allows you to link databases to your website. This means your site is always as up-to-date as the information in your database. The system can also work in reverse: If a visitor to your site fills in a web-form, the details can be saved in your database. This can get even more interactive, with individual visitors being able to get their own tailor-made page, if you so desire!

Dynamic websites have applications everywhere: Think about Web-shops, forums, and e-learning systems. In fact every site can benefit from this technique. Separating the content from the code makes for much quicker and easier amendments and maintenance.

How?
In this course we will teach you to create dynamic web-pages with ASP. You will be instructed in the necessary technology and you will learn all aspects of the construction process. You will learn to write script and to couple databases. Our practical examples will give you a good understanding of how a dynamic website should be structures. You will go home from the course with a good amount of theoretical and practical knowledge, and you will be able to create your own Dynamic site.

• Dynamic websites
• Server-side and client-side writing
• ASP
• Incorporating VB Script
• Writing VB Script within HTML
• Problem solving

Day 2

• Relational databases & SQL
• Constructing a Web-page from database-information
• Saving Web-form data in your database

Day 3

• Practical examples: complete ASP applications
  

Course Prerequisites
You need to be familiar with HTML to be able to follow this course properly. If you are not experienced with HTML, then we advise you first to follow the HTML training course. Any programming experience is also useful, but not essential.

Comments
The course is given in English and the course books may be taken away. During the course you will work on PCs, but the training is also valid and appropriate for MAC users.
