Course Description
Do you need an effective web-page structure that can accommodate multiple documents. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) facilitate the structuring of web-pages in one common style. By splitting the contents and the structure of your pages, you can then store all your structural information in one place. This can be incredibly handy with both small and large projects.

Using CSS has a number of important advantages: Improved lay-out possibilities for your site, the (X)HTML code stays neat and easily viewable, the page lay-out is more quickly and easily amended, and you pages can be uploaded more quickly as less code is used.

Be aware: Use of CSS is mandatory with the latest version of HTML (XHTML).

During the course you will learn to use and apply CSS within your own project. You will work with an (X)HTML editor within which you can independently define your own Style Sheet.

• Separating structure from content
• Application of Style Sheets
• Use of external/internal/in-line style
• Style definition
• Using lists and summaries
• Table structure
• CSS-positioning (absolute/relative)
• Layering
• CSS validation and structure

Prerequisites
You need to be familiar with XHTML before attending this course.

The course is given in English and the course books may be taken away. During the course you will work on PCs, but the training is also valid and appropriate for MAC users.

This training course is given as a tutorial in a Web-design class. Each participant will work on their own course and at their own pace under the careful and diligent guidance from a highly experienced tutor.
